About This Guide
Hi, I'm Lauren Joy Verica, a birth doula based in Portland, Oregon. While navigating the process of becoming a certified doula in OR & WA and building my practice, Linked Lineage Doula, I quickly realized how scattered and overwhelming the process seems. Although there are many excellent resources out there for various parts of the process, I wanted to create something that gave a top-down view of the steps across the full scope of getting into birthwork as a sole practioner. I created this resource to help aspiring doulas in the Portland/Vancouver area navigate the certification process and launch their practices with confidence. Whether you're just starting to explore doula work or ready to take the leap, I hope this guide makes your journey a little easier.
